PEAK MUSIC 2007

 2007

This is a series that will attempt to Sport(ify) music by creating a 5 member All-Pro/All League/All Star team (Sort of like the NBA first team all-stars) for each year in Music starting with 1964. It will rely heavily on Top 20 Hits from the year but also take into account Concert Tours, Music awards, Music Videos (MTV Crowd-You Tube), TV, Films, Pop Culture etc…..

There was not much dominance this year - probably a down year for music - sort like 204 for baseball offense

Justin Timberlake – had 3 top 20 hits including collaborations. His big hit was SUMMER LOVE

Fergie – had 3 big top 20 hits including BIG GIRLS DON’T CRY

Rihanna had 2 top 20 hits including UMBRELLA with Jay Z

T Pain had 5 top 20 collaborations

Maroon 5 – had the number one hot MAKES ME WONDER – Which makes me wonder that there could have been 5-10 different artists that could have occupied the number 5 slot

  1. I think you have to have Timbaland on there, with three top ten hits--all were collaborations, including "Apologize" which was really a remix of a One Republic song but Timbaland was officially the lead artist on all three. Sean Kingston had three top 20 hits led by "Beautiful Girls" as well.
