PEAK MUSIC 1997

 

This is a series that will attempt to Sport(ify) music by creating a 5 member All-Pro/All League/All Star team (Sort of like the NBA first team all-stars) for each year in Music starting with 1964. It will rely heavily on Top 20 Hits from the year but also take into account Concert Tours, Music awards, Music Videos (MTV Crowd-You Tube), TV, Films, Pop Culture etc…..

Spice Girls with 4 top 20 hits

Puff Daddy – 3 number 1 hits – all these songs were duets or collaborations

Backstreet Boys – 2 top 5 hits including QUIT PLAYIN GAMES with my heart

Notorious BIG – 3 top 2 hits including MO MONEY MO PROBLEMS

Elton John with Candle in the Wind (which may have been number one in three different months)

Paul Cole –"Where have all the Cowboys gone" (Which is fitting for Today as the Cowboys have not reached an NFC Championship since 1995) - 1979 Topps All Pro designation is probably the best looking from all 4 sports when they were giving the designation between the mid 1970s and early 1980s
