This is a series that will attempt to Sport(ify) music by creating a 5 member All-Pro/All League/All Star team (Sort of like the NBA first team all-stars) for each year in Music starting with 1964. It will rely heavily on Top 20 Hits from the year but also take into account Concert Tours, Music awards, Music Videos (MTV Crowd-You Tube), TV, Films, Pop Culture etc…..

Well, I love LL Cool J and the Gin Blossoms, so on a personal note I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteI think the list needs No Doubt, though. Another example of a modern rock act that didn't make the Hot 100 because they didn't release singles (this ceases to be a problem in 1999, when Billboard allows album tracks to chart), but they had two big hits with "Don't Speak" probably the biggest of the year. I think Celine would have made the top 5 if I were doing it, too.
