This is a series that will attempt to Sport(ify) music by creating a 5 member All-Pro/All League/All Star team (Sort of like the NBA first team all-stars) for each year in Music starting with 1964. It will rely heavily on Top 40 Hits from the year but also take into account Concert Tours, Music awards, Music Videos (MTV Crowd-You Tube), TV, Films, Pop Culture etc…..
1966
Things have really tightened up and there is not much as a big different from number 1 and number 5
The Beatles had 4 top twenty hits with one them being Yellow Submarine.
The Rolling Stones had 5 top twenty hits with "paint it black"
Frank Sinatra – just the name – Frank was about 5o years old when he released "Strangers in the night" (which hit number one) and "it was a very good year"
The Beach Boys had 4 top ten hits including "good vibrations"
The premiere of their TV show, the first boy band/made for TV band, the Monkees. They had 3 top 20 hits and 2 number ones including "last train to clarkesville"

Yeah, we're getting into big years. No arguments on any of these.
