Joe Simpson #55
This appears to be a blurry spring training photo shot. For some reason the Mariners players photo tend to be dark or blurry (even though in this shot this is a daytime photo.) Joe would became a radio announcer after his playing days were over.
I think from the looks of the uniforms and batting helmet the picture had to be taken in either 1979 or 1980. The lettering on the jerseys would change to a much more square look in 1981.
