NBA's Greatest Players No. 19 - Julius Erving

Julius Erving -  I feel like he might be too high. Nobody took a faster fall than Dr. J

At some point in the late 1970s – he was pro basketball.

Once Magic, Bird, Jordan came on the scene, he became forgotten.

He starred in a Movie the Fish that save Pittsburgh.

Erving was not a better shooter than Rick Barry or passer but he was a little better rebounder. After leaving the ABA in 1976, he scored a surprisingly modest 21.6 points per game in his first year in the NBA.

Within 3 years of coming back from the ABA, Rick Barry won a championship with a team where he was on the only star on it. Dr. J won his only NBA championship in his 7th    NBA season where he obviously played 2nd fiddle to Moses Malone

He probably was an average shooter, and slightly above average passer and rebounder for his size.

He was a showman though.
