Jim Spencer #265

A nice tight shot of of the underrated Spencer, he is in the home whites of the A's uniform. The Green and Yellow and White stand out perfectly on this photo from his cap to his upper sleeve this is just a great baseball card

Back Fact:.An excellent fielding first baseman, he won Gold Gloves in '70 and '77.

This is the guy that is most like Tebow

I think we have seen a quarterback like Tim Tebow before and his name was Slash. They are different but they are some what the same. Both were great running quarterbacks. Both are/were at best average passers. Slash was smaller, faster, quicker and had a better arm. Tebow is left handed, bigger and stronger and a more powerful runner. When Slash appeared we never saw a QB like him. Now that Tebow is here I don't think we have ever seen a QB like him. Slash took the Steelers to 2 AFC Championship games and was done as a starting QB by age 30. We will see if Tebow can top that record.

I wave my hair back and forth

If you have young children and listen to Radio Disney, you will know that there has been a song playing on that station for about a year or so called (I think) "I wave my hair back and forth" by some very young female singer. When I first saw this card, I thought of the song.

Hubie Brooks #476

We have a sighting of the ivy on the outfield wall of Wrigley Field. This in game action shot captures Hubie in full defensive position. Back Facts: Ranked even with Mookie Wilson as the Mets Most Valuable everyday player last year.

Rafael Ramirez #546

It is kind of blurry in the back ground but the players seated in the dugout are Chicago Cubs. This photo probably was taken at old Fulton County Stadium. Though this also could have been from a spring training game. I never realized it but Ramirez was very young at this time. He was born in 1959 and took over the Braves starting shortstop position in 1980 after coming up in 1979.



Larry Milbourne

The thing that I really like about this card is that it shows the classic Yankee uniform in its fullesy glory. This picture feels like it could have been taken in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, or even today. This appears to be an in action shot during a daylight game. It is almost a Donruss 1982 sparkle card (if you look at the top of his helmet).
